Where have the last 8 months gone?
Hello All,
Yes, I know...its been a long while since I've updated this. No need to wait any longer...
For the last 8 months I have been working in Madison, WI, as some of you may already know. At the beginning of the summer I found employment at Jimmy Johns working part-time along side my internship at Planet. Let me tell you...it wasn't easy. Most of my week was spent working from one night into the next while sleeping every other day. Slowly but surely I was losing motivation from lack of sleep. But as they say, work hard and things will get easier.
At the end of August things in my life shifted a little. I quit Jimmy Johns and started working for a small company called My Payment Network. They specialize in online school payments. The first part of my day is spent doing customer service and design for them. After my morning is finished there I continue my day at Planet.
My most recent project I completed there was for Aurora Medical. When I first started at Planet one of the first projects I got my hands on was for them. It was really cool seeing this project from start to finish.
Here is the latest project we completed:
Currently, I am working on a 4 part module project for a client. This project is a tad overwhelming due to its length and content. But I am enjoying that I get to have the creative lead on this one. I can't wait to see the final outcomes of all 4 projects.
My personal project last month had to be put on hold. I was attempting the 11 Second Club for the month of November to keep up my skills with Maya. Everything just didn't work out as nicely as I had planned for....there is always next time.
UPDATE: I am currently revising a updated version of my demo reel. I should have it posted by the end of the week!
Thanks for reading!

My first week in the capital city of Wisconsin, Madison!
Hello all!
If you haven't heard yet, I accepted the Motion Intern position at Planet Propaganda in Madison, WI. Its been a week or so since I've moved in. Before the big move, life got a little hectic to say the least...
About a month ago I picked up shifts at a Micheal's arts and Crafts. Only two weeks after I obtained a cashier position there I interviewed with Planet Propaganda. The interview was short and sweet and needless to say successful. I am over joyed with this opportunity. Although things may be overwhelming at the moment now that I am here, I am sure they will turn around soon.
My first week in Madison has been tiring but exciting nonetheless. Starting Monday morning I began an in depth job search. I have walked about 8-10 miles around the capital, campus and everywhere in between. Applying and interviewing has been my job this week. Hopefully next week I will have it all figured out. I have had a great week meeting new people and learning new things. I have seen many things happen this week that have brought all sorts of emotions. I believe the my first afternoon on State street involved me seeing a bike to bike crash, protesters at the capital singing all together, a homeless man being arrested and a crow attacking a smaller bird. Don't worry his friends were there to save him :) So far, I'd like to say it has been a pretty eventful and exciting first week in the city I will call home for the next year or so. I am excited to spend more time with my best friends and meeting new people.
I begin my internship next Tuesday morning. I can't wait to start! I am really excited to begin designing and animating once again!

March 11 Second Club
Here is my submission for this months 11 second club. I'm trying to stay familiar with the programs while searching for a job. The lip sync could use a bit more work but I'm happy with it for the most part. I'm hoping for a more energized clip next month. The times I feel it has worked out for me to do this competition the clips seem to be in a slump mood. Its a good way to work on facial emotions though. Make sure to vote this month!!
This is about a baker who couldn't quite measure up.

As of late...
Hey Everyone,
So its been a quick 2 1/2 months since graduation! For all of you wondering what the heck I've been up to, well, after school I said I was going to take about a month off to recoup and help my parents move into their new house. That lasted for about 2 weeks....Around the first of January I started re-building my portfolio website and revisiting my resume. I finished my website at the beginning of February, this began my search for careers.

After I started applying I realized more and more that having a demo reel of my work is really necessary and a nice way to show off more of my work faster. So within just the last two weeks or so I compiled all of my best work into a 2 1/2 minute clip. At the beginning I realized that I couldn't work on my laptop anymore when I was working with this kind of work. So I went out and purchased a new monitor so that I could view things more easily.
This is my work from 2010-2012
Ever since December when I was unable to work on a clip for the 11 second club, I've had the urge to get back in there and submit something. With the last few months being so busy and crazy I was unable to put the time into working on a clip. So, that is what I'm putting my efforts towards this month. I'm just about finished modeling my environment and then I will start animating! I will post my in progress work on Vimeo for those interested.

Final blog for my final semester...
I would like to start this off by saying that I have the best family and friends. Its hard for me to say that my college years have come to an end. The last 4 1/2 years have been more than amazing! I have met so many wonderful people to make this experience unforgettable.
Over the last few months my classmates and myself have been slaving over a tremendous workload as we complete our senior seminar. About a month ago we had our senior show exhibition, I thank all of those who came and supported all of our hard work. This semester wasn't easy for most of us. Many obstacles stood in our way and hard decisions were made. The work that developed from this semester is proven example of our motivation and determination. All well crafted and you should be proud :)
Like promised, here is my final video from my project this semester. Although it's not a complete animation, as it is only the trailer, the final short will hopefully be completed by this time next year. Over the course of the next year I plan on enhancing my skills in animation and continue to adapt to the complexity of the rigs as well as the process of animation.

And now the process of it all:
A big THANK YOU to all of those who helped along the way. I could not have done this without you!
"Never give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration you can not go wrong."
Congratulations everyone! I'm sure there is big plans in your future, keep in touch!
